eProjects Panel vs Other Agency Procurement Vehicles

Q46: Is it mandatory for Agencies to use the eProjects Panel?

A46: Agencies are not mandated to use the eProjects Panel, and are reminded to ensure they use any Government or Agency mandated procurement vehicles.  The eProjects Panel was approved by Cabinet due to the transparency integrated to the process.

Q47: How will projects be managed within a large Agency, ie will one person let all their Agency users know?

A47: Agency Administrators can create users to access the Portal for their Agency.  Agencies should communicate the use of the Panel through their normal channels.
There is also provision within the Portal to delegate responsibilities to other Agency users.  Agency Administrators have access to all projects within an Agency.

Q48: Will the Portal be used for other procurements, ie apart from ICT within Agencies?

A48: The Portal was designed for use with the eProjects Panel.  If required, the Portal would be available for re-engineering to suit other Agency arrangements as required.

Q49: Can existing ICT Sourcing (Future ICT) arrangements be superseded through the eProjects Panel?

A49: No.  There are mandated procurement arrangement (Future ICT, Agency and other) that must be used by Agency buyers.

Q50: What is this Panel’s relationship with existing/future ICT Sourcing (FICT) procurement arrangements?

A50: ICT Sourcing (Future ICT) has mandated procurements which Agencies must ensure they follow.  The eProjects Panel provides a procurement vehicle for the provision of ICT project services.  If there is any confusion this should be raised with the Contract Authority.
