Governance Framework
The ICT Governance Framework describes the bodies (boards, committees and groups) that are formed to discuss ideas, create proposals and provide direction in the way much of our technology is bought and built. We are of course referring to technologies which assist many areas of government rather than those which deliver specific needs for individual agencies. The Framework also outlines the roles and functions of these bodies to assist them in their high level decision-making.

This Framework broadly describes the way in which ICT Governance will work and is supported by a number of other frameworks which provide greater detail.
The first three (which already exist) assist the planning, investment and reporting of programs and initiatives that will be (or are currently being) coordinated across government.
The operational and asset frameworks will follow next.
