ICT security
The role of the Security and Risk Assurance (SRA) team is to ensure the availability of Government information infrastructure for supporting the delivery of essential services to the community.
The Director, SRA is the principal advisor to the Chief Information Officer on information and communication technology (ICT) security.
SRA is responsible for the following:
- developing strategies and maintaining ICT security policy and standards
- managing the ICT security assurance regime
- developing, operating and maintaining a Government significant-incident coordination and business continuity management program that integrates into the State Emergency Management Plans and counter terrorism plans
- identifying critical government information infrastructure and systems, and coordinating business continuity planning to minimise service disruption and recovery time
- applying a risk-based approach to the management of ICT security, systems and critical information infrastructure
- overseeing and advising on the development and management of critical Government ICT services and infrastructure
- providing advice on strategy, procurement, service delivery and contract management activities from the security perspective.
