Ask Just Once - One Year On
Event - Tuesday 30th September 2008, Hilton Hotel
In this presentation, SA Government Chief Information Officer Andrew Mills provided an update on the strategy adopted to change government service-delivery in SA to a customer-needs based model.
In October 2007, the SA Cabinet approved significant changes to the ways that government interacts with business and the community. The SA Government has already implemented a number of far-reaching reforms to bring it firmly into the information age.
The strategy adopted focuses on the government’s use of technology to transform the delivery of services, enabling citizens and business to Ask Just Once in order to get what they need.
This is a very relevant presentation for all ICT companies and practitioners in SA, that will include values derived from:
- Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO): The how, who and what of OCIO
- Ask Just Once: A year on – how are we traveling
- Sourcing and Procurement: Status of infrastructure contracts and eProjects Panel.
The presentation was followed by a moderated Q&A session with direct questions from the floor as well as an opportunity to ask ‘that question’ without the need to get on your feet in front of an audience (all registrants will be encouraged to submit their questions and concerns prior to the event).
